I TRAVELED!! (Pre COVID!!) Let me help with your trips AHHHHHH!! Florida, Dominican Republic, Phoenix, and ST Kitts! LANA'I, HAWAII, and the amazing MANELE GOLF COURSE** So excited to be traveling to the Island of Lanai to the Four Seasons, a five-diamond Resort. This is truly a paradise on earth! After a short transfer from the airport on a luxury van, we were greeted with leis upon arrival at the hotel. The open-air lobby, with views to the ocean let you in on the magnificence of this very private retreat. After a brief check in, we were guided to our rooms. It was like walking through magnificent botanical gardens with tropical birds everywhere. After renovations a few years ago to an already fabulous property, this Four Seasons Resort is the ultimate in privacy and luxury. We flew in commercially from Honolulu. But private air transportation (Lanai Air) can be arranged. There is also a ferry from Maui. The rooms are ultimate… orchids abound, subdued lighting, in-room bar, wonderful bathroom (with a TV in the mirror!), and a personal iPad to use during our stay! While you will pay top dollar, nothing has been overlooked! In addition to the beautiful surroundings, there is a wonderful spa and ultimate restaurants and bars, including the cliff-side Nobu, with Japanese cuisine. The experience of being a guest is unrivaled. Within minutes, every staff person addressed us by name. The changes to the massive entrance are very impressive. There’s a family pool and an adult pool, now, set in lush tropical gardens with waterfalls and hot tubs. Many lounge chairs can be found, scattered in private areas, all with views to Hulopoe Bay. Steps away is the beautiful beach where you can walk or just sit and maybe catch a glimpse, as we did, or even swim with spinner dolphins! And if you need to work out, the ocean will still inspire. Places to relax and unwind are everywhere. A quick transfer up the hill and you arrive at the Manele Golf Course, my favorite course in the world! This is a Jack Nicklaus design. The Pacific Ocean is everywhere, in addition to cliffs and tee shots over gorges. The views are spectacular and the conditions impeccable. You might even see some whales in the distance, as you gaze over toward Maui. Postcard Sunsets will top of your experience. Currently in the works are plans for an adventure park up at the top of the island where it’s cooler. The Lodge at Koele is in the process of being transformed. There is currently horseback riding and other activities, including an 18 hole green grass putting course. Judging by the attention to detail evident at the oceanfront hotel, there is no doubt this “Experience”, as it used to be called, will be the ultimate in every detail.
